Responsibilities of QEW Monthly Meeting Contacts

QEW Monthly Meeting Contacts serve as liaisons between their Monthly Meetings and their Yearly Meeting Earthcare group, as well as with the larger QEW network. They will stay in contact with their Yearly Meeting Representative and will:

1. Receive QEW mailings and share information with their Monthly Meetings.
2. Maintain a supply of QEW pamphlets in the Monthly Meeting and distribute them as appropriate.
3. Make announcements of QEW events and any requests for action received from QEW.
4. Encourage the establishment of an Earthcare group (or a subcommittee of their peace and concerns committee) in their Monthly Meeting, if appropriate.
5. Attend QEW annual meetings when possible.
6. Assist in obtaining information for QEW (i.e., questionnaires, etc.) when requested.
7. When possible, arrange for members of their Yearly Meeting's Earthcare committee (or where none exists, QEW Steering Committee members) to visit the monthly or quarterly meeting for a forum, business meeting, or discussion.
8. Forward to the Yearly Meeting Representative (who will forward to the YM Earthcare committee or directly to QEW if no Yearly Meeting exists) articles about or notifications of any projects that might be of interest to others in the QEW network.
